Product Description The Hit-A-Way Pole and Baseball Hit-A-Way Combo make for the ultimate portable baseball training tool. Endorsed by nine time all star Derek Jeter, the Hit-A-Way Pole and Hit-A-Way Combo allows you to perfect your swing without the headache of lost balls or broken windows. This package includes the Baseball Hit-A-Way Trainer and secure, portable Hit-A-Way Pole for hours of invaluable practice. The convenient Hit-A-Way also sets up quickly and easily collapses for storage. The Hit-A-Way is an ideal training device for the home, park or school.
Product Description Pro Performance has developed an effective training tool that doubles as your own personal batting instructor. It's designed to improve your hand-eye coordination while also improving your overall pacing, timing, and confidence in your swing. It adjusts easily to hit high, middle, or low balls and attaches to a tree or pole and can be used in a backyard, practice field, and many other places. The pole locks into place for stability while the foot pads keep the pole in a steady position. It's also a great tool to practice switch hitting. Great for team practice, the Hit-A-Way Baseball and Pole Combo sets up very quickly and also collapses to 3-1/2 feet for easy transport and storage. Additionally, wheels and a handle are also included to make it even more effortless to move around. Note: It's recommended that you use a practice bat with your Hit-A-Way Baseball and Pole Combo. Much like the balls in a batting cage, the durable materials are meant to last and should not be used with a high-end aluminum or wood bat.

Solid product January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First, I am a recreational adult baseball player. Our league is very competitive, so our gear is most often the best we can buy. I have used the hit-a-way ball for a year now with good success. I was forced to purchase the pole because in Phoenix, there is no round poles to play off of. The Hit-A-Way pole was very solid, which was what I wanted. I was afraid that hitting it with enough force would tip it over, but not this product. It is heavy as posted by others, but the attached wheels makes for easy transport. This is a great product for solo players where you dont have to rely on someone else to feed you the ball.
great for boys (and girls) ages 6-56! January 11, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This - along with a pogo stick and stilts - was my effort to get my kids offf the video games at least some of the time! I thought this might be too hard for the 6 year old, but he persisted and is getting better at it. The point is, it's so fun he keeps trying! The 13 yr old - and my 17 year old daughter are enjoying it too. There seems to be a trade-off between the stilts and the hit-a-way. Only the little guy can handle the pogo stick - go figure!
Hit-A-Way is Very Fun! August 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought the Hit-A-Way after using their Jr. version for several years. This is a fabulous concept for focused young ball player. An excellent way to get the feel of precision batting.
Read The Instructions Before Use April 2, 2006 34 out of 36 found this review helpful
Read a previous buyers comments. However, I still purchased this for my 7 y/o. Because of said problems, I made sure to read the instructions prior to use. (Yes, I am a man so y'all know how hard that was.) Anyway, the most difficult part of the Hit-a- Way Pole was putting it away. After the 1-3 minute set up time, my 7 y/o needed about 5 swings to get the hang of this product. 30 minutes later he and my 16 y/o had figured out how they both could use it at the same time. (Helmets suggested) 2 hours later I had to literaly pull my boys away from it. Two points to address from a previous buyer: 1) If you attach the ends of the cable to the pole correctly, the legs will not cause any interferance. 2) If you do not hit the ball correctly, it will not return, (unwind), properly. I would not call this a problem, but a training/use issue. My sons quickly learned that a bad hit/swing was very obvious, which lead them to practice and master the proper hitting technique. (In short, the ball failing to return was not caused by any part of the device, but by improper hitting technique by the batter.) It is a very well built product and it is easy to set up, take down and store. Because of its construction it is a heavy product, but the wheels aide in the ease of its placement and storage. I would recommend this product. Heck! so does Derek Jetter and Reggie Jackson before him. PS...I set it back up and took a few swings myself. Ok, a whole lotta swings, but don't tell the boys that their mom had to pull me inside to get me to stop. Remember how to be a kid again, have some patience, fun and play ball!
Junk Plain and Simple November 14, 2005 16 out of 27 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 8 year old to practice hitting. Although well built, it is poorly designed. The place where the Hit a Way attaches is not logical and causes interference with the legs. The cables on the Hit a Way are so stiff that the ball loses velocity quickly and does not wrap and come back around for the 2nd hit. You might get one or two hits in before it is unusable. A GIANT waste of money. The only reason I give it 2 stars is the construction is solid.
