Powered by a golw-in-the-dark Speedlight for nighttime play with Speedminton
Works well!August 17, 2008 I have always wanted to be able to play badminton in the dark and now I can! These light up well enough to be easily seen in the dark, and are a lot of fun. In fact the darker it is the better you can see them. They really should come with the light sticks required for illumination though rather than being two separate items.
glow in the dark birdiesJuly 24, 2008 i am extremely satisfied with this product! ya they are a bit smaller as the usual birds, but they surely do the job, and i found that the necklace glow sticks work just great as the light source for this product. but surely the 8pk speedlight that is offered in addition to purchasing the birdies, is an awsome deal too!!!... so don't hazitate add them to your shopping cart. oh and don't forget to look around for more awsome stuff! like other birdies! the selection is great! have fun. Thanx
No night sticksJuly 14, 2008 The main reason I bought these is because they are for NIGHT play. They do not come with glow sticks and I had to turn around and buy them!!

The Speedmitten Night Speeders are full of bounce and are highly visable in low light conditions. A lot of fun.
Pretty Good, OverallAugust 9, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought these to play with at the beach, and I loved the small, heavier design compared to regular shuttlecock. They were great for playing in the day with light wind. At night, however, they weren't very easy to play with. They should have come with the glow-sticks, in my opinion, but I had no real problem ordering them seperately (though they were quite expensive for what they are). You can see the birdies fine at night when they are right in front of you, but when they are flying through the air, they are pretty hard to play with when all you see is a faint-ish glow.
