| Customer Reviews:
Effective and hair-free! June 16, 2008 I used this to fight off a nasty sinus infection that had been plaguing me for several weeks. I tried many things--apple cider vinegar, oregano oil, nasal rinses, etc.--prior to getting this, and nothing helped much, not even a round of antibiotics. But after only a couple of days on Solgar's NAC, I was starting to feel like my old self again. I'm nearly 100% cured now, and I owe it all to this relatively simple dietary supplement.
Before ending my review, I want to correct something misreported in another review, that is, this product is NOT made from hair! (human or otherwise) It has, in fact, been possible for some time to make NAC synthetically, which is how Solgar makes it. I even called and confirmed this with them (and yes, I was able to speak to a real person there). Thankfully, this is a vegetarian product, and you'll notice that, if you enlarge the picture here on Amazon, "SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS" is printed on the bottle's label.
NAC is not Vegetarian July 7, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
NAC is made from human hair (yes, that's what I said "human hair"). When enough human hair is not available it is made from feathers, pig bristles (hair), and, or pig hooves. Bon appetite!
with respect, Beatcynic
