 Great for water sports! August 15, 2008
I've been using these for two summers for water sports (jetski, beachcats, white water, kayak etc). I like them for the very reason others have shown as a flaw. Sand and gravel float right out with a foot dip in the water. Synthetic material ideal for aquatic environment. Good grip, arch and lateral support. Dries fast. Highly recommended!
 nice ventilation, but.... June 26, 2008
Got a pair of these recently. I went up a half size to 10 since it does not come in 9.5. Fits nicely and with the extra room I will be able to wear them with socks in the fall. They would not be good for hiking on trails other than compacted dirt, objects easily enter the footbed. Forget about wearing them in the water. On deck would be fine. Nicely ventilated, keeps the foot cool. Comfortable, but they do need some breaking in. Just as good as Keens or Mions. I have worn both of those as well. Price is very reasonable.
 Top Strap May 28, 2008
The Teva was everything I was looking for and every positive review that I had read was true BUT with one glareing short coming. The top strap that tightens the shoe to your foot is way to short. Just the very tip of the fabric part of the strap touches the velcro to tighten the shoe AND for some reason about one quarter inch of the fabric part was not sewed to the outer strap so the tip of the strap has two ends to it. This makes it very hard to carefully unstrap or if you just rip it off I am sure it will cause seperation of the strap in no time. As much as I like the shoes for this reason alone I will not buy another pair.

I have worn this sandal for 3 straight days in adventure races, rocks come out easily, it is comfortable. I have paddled, hiked, waded, etc, for up to 70 hours at a time while wearing this shoe. if you need a shoe to do something and come back for more, buy this shoe...
Great shoes for the coast May 8, 2008
Having owned a pair of Teva Hurricanes for 2 years, I was looking for shoes that gave more protection while kayaking, boating, and walking the dog on the beach. The Dozers are very comfortable and easy to put on & take off. I just hose the sand off and leave them in sun to dry.
