Amazon.com Product Description Blow molded from high density polyethylene, this lightweight and durable travel ski case from SporTube will safely transport two snowboards (with bindings and boots) or three pairs of skis. The case is designed to protect your valuable winter sports equipment from bumps and scratches while going through airline check-ins or shipping. A hard plastic shell offers superior protection over a soft bag and creates a shield around the equipment, protecting its contents much better than a nylon bag. The hard shell plastic doesn't tear and is resilient to dings and bangs. There are no buckles, zips or permanently attached straps to get ripped, torn, or broken. All Sportube cases are fitted with heavy duty rubber wheels for an easy journey from the car to check-in or from the car to the hotel or cabin. Sportube's designs and size meet recent changes in ski design and the Sportube now fits all ski/binding systems. The easy pull-attachment point and the easy pull handle make toting your equipment around a breeze. Sportube case are supplied with a non-locking, TSA-compliant wire case pin, and they can be locked for overseas travel or when shipping to the resort. Sportubes can easily be strapped to any roof rack, protecting your equipment from road salt, dirt, and grime. Specifications: - Width: 14-1/2 inches / 368 mm

Great way to carry your gear! August 28, 2008 We bought this to use for our snowboarding trip to France... France was our last stop! We carried this to Germany, then to Amsterdam before arriving in France. This made it on planes, tranes, and automobiles with no problem... the only other option would have been to mail our gear which would have cost over $300! The case fit our 2 snowboards, bindings, boots, pants, gloves, jackets... it was awesome! We bounced this case up and down stairs, drug it across streets, everything and our gear was perfect. Highly recommend!
Traveling with Radio Controlled Sailplanes August 6, 2008 I use the Sport Tube 3 to transport radio controlled sailplanes that I use for competition and for sport flying. I pack it with a Supra 3.4M full house sailplane and a Thermal Dancer 3.1M full house sailplane. Then I mark on the case how far it shoud go on in order to not crush the tail.
I have also used it to transport electric airplanes when I go on vacation. The airline had no problem with it. They treat it like a golf case.
I have used this to transport planes on the airlines, by mail and in my car when there will be a lot of stuff in the back. These planes can be easily damaged if something rolls over on them.
This is a very good product for this purpose.
Works great for spearguns May 29, 2008 Used the SporTube 3 for my recent trip to Baja and nothing got damaged. Takes a bit of tinkering to get all the gear in, but I can load my spearguns, wetsuit, carbon fins, and the rest of my gear, minus the weight belt, in with room to spare. Keeping it under the 50lb weight limit can be stretch, but what does it cost you if the airlines damage your gear??? Could be a trip ender in some instances. A must have for blue water speargun protection.
Great protection! May 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This case is great - nothing else can compare with the protection that it affords your expensive ski equipment during travel. The optional pull handle that atttaches to the nose of the case should make a significant difference, as pulling the case by the handle that comes standard isn't comfortable. I agree with other reviewers that for the price of this case, the pull handle should be a standard feature.
Recommend for airline travel and shipping. Note that new check in costs in some of the airlines.
Great Snowboard Travel Case February 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Sport-Tube is an excellent travel case and has worked well for me. I recently bought a second one after an airline dropped mine off of a plane and crushed in a corner and bent the wheels. My gear came through unscathed. Prior to that extreme abuse the case had held up with no damage after at least a dozen trips. Airlines are now enforcing the 50-pound weight restriction on snowboard cases. My old DaKine was so big that with 2 boards and all my gear in it would sometimes tip the scales at close to 60-pounds. Besides being light the sport tube is pretty water tight and can be strapped to a roof rack without leaking. A very good product.
