Customer Reviews:
GunVault MiniVaultNovember 2, 2008 I had one of these safes for almost ten years before the pc board that stores the entry code went out. I'm still able to use it with the key for other items that don't require instant access. The one problem I had with the older model was if your hand pushed the door catch latch on the top opening, you couldn't close the door and it was a real bear to reset the latch. They seem to have corrected this problem in the newer models. I would also recommend using hex head (1/4 ") bolts to anchor your vault and not use the provided phillips head screws. A socket wrench is a lot easier to use than an off set screw driver, being that there is only about 3" of head room to work with. A stubby screw driver won't work at all. The value is good for the performance, if you only need to use it for one or two 5 1/2 or shorter barrel revolvers or one or two autos.
