Very nice pump pistol. August 22, 2008 This pistol is very powerful I recommend the pump pistol to hunt big rats.
A few problems August 7, 2008 This product is now working correctly. The problem that occurred is that the rear sight was not tight. After taking 10 or 12 shots, I noticed that the rear sight was moving horizontally. It did take another 20 shots to sight this weapon in as I did not have any idea where to start. It now operates perfect. The other issue is that maybe there should be a few pellets sent with the gun. This would save an extra trip to the store for a purchase. When something is new, people want to try it NOW!
Mo' Bang for the Bux July 19, 2008 excellent practice piece right out of the box with just a little sight adjustment. Soup it up with a little "Bright Sights" paint and you'll be ready to stalk mosquitoes in the dark. As accurate as an alien's ray-gun! Don't be fooled by the negatives from beginners. Get it today!
Fool thee twice, shame on me...revised June 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well,
I read all the positive reviews for this gun and thought that something was wrong with me. You see, as a boy, I had owned one of these and it was a piece of junk as far as I was concerned. But that was then.
As I recall, the first shot was okay, but by the third shot (not the 250th as the manual claims) the gun was at half power, if that (there is no advice in the "manual" for this, only legal disclaimers).
UPDATED:
I'm changing this to four stars because I discovered that a drop of oil, on the bolt/breach seal, after ever four shots or so, will keep the gun at full power. It would have been nice to have that stated somewhere in the users manual. Newbies, like me, be warned: a tight seal is important and without lubricant you won't get one.

Decent Value and Very Upgradeable June 11, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This gun is a relatively good value for the money. It was the most powerful airpistol around when I was a teenager and still is 25 years later. It is a fun gun and a great hunting pistol.
If you want the most out of the gun, you will need to upgrade it. As a man with relatively large hands the grips are a terrible fit in my hands. The grip is too small and the pumper is very uncomfortable. I purchased a set of RB grips with a super pumper. It feels great now and looks even better. I also ordered the LPA sight from Crosman Custom shop. I find the included sight to be marginal at best. The trigger pull is really heavy too, which effects accuracy. Therefore I will get the trigger done and new a new flat top valve/piston for more power. Check out Mountain Air Airguns, they sell a super upgraded version of the 1377 for $215.
