Full of liesOctober 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My friend ordered these for a Halloween costume. The selection of white/purple and royal/crimson seems strange when paired with the picture (of blue and white for one and red and yellow for the other). As those were the options, it's seems the provider of these socks are just messed up on their descriptive termonology. When he got them, they were blue and red (ordered the royal/crimson). Any color could be named royal as it means the color is intensified. Understandable that people make mistakes, but when the company was contacted about this error (theirs I'd say), they replied that the only thing they would be willing to do is to refund the socks if they were returned at his expense. It would cost more to ship the item back to them! They said "The color option you ordered was "Royal/Scarlet". You indicated those are the colors you received. This is standard color terminology as used in the athletic sock industry." This posting is on Amazon, not the "everything athetic sock website." Not only were they not advertised the best they could, but they were coming apart at the seems, to which they said "The concern with the seam is actually just the edge of the stripe. This is the way the machine knits when it changes colors." Highly doubt too many people are buying these in the first place, but be warned. THEY ARE NOT THE SOCKS IN THE PICTURE.
